"What Nicole Lubinger accomplishes here is indescribable, meets the highest standards and doesn't even need to shy away from comparison with famous role models."

I am currently an ensemble member of the Salzburg State Theatre, where I have the privilege of performing a broad and stylistically diverse repertoire spanning opera, operetta, and concert literature.

Among the recent highlights of my artistic career are my debuts as Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Tatjana in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, Cleopatra in Handel’s Giulio Cesare, Martha in Flotow’s Martha, and Contessa di Folleville in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims.

My repertoire further encompasses roles such as  Rosalinde in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus at the Staatsoperette Dresden, Ännchen in Weber’s Der Freischütz, Alice Couder in Leo Fall’s Die Dollarprinzessin at Musikalische Komödie Leipzig, and Franziska Cagliari in Strauss’ Wiener Blut at the Stadttheater Baden.

I am deeply honored to have received several distinguished awards, including First Prize at the International Heinrich Strecker Singing Competition 2021 in the opera category, the Special Prize at Zukunftsstimmen 2022, as well as First Prize and the Audience Special Prize at the Upper Austrian Operetta Competition 2022.

Alongside my studies, I was fortunate to gain valuable stage experience early in my career through a wide variety of leading and character roles. These included Minny Fay in Hello, Dolly! at the Bad Leonfelden Summer Festival, the yodeler Kathi in Im weißen Rössl at the Langenlois Castle Festival, Rosine in Suppé’s Der Teufel auf Erden at the Brucknerhaus Linz, Pepi in Strauss’ Wiener Blut at the Kittsee Summer Festival, and Valencienne in Lehár’s The Merry Widow.

During the 2022 season, I appeared as Hanna Glawari in Lehár’s The Merry Widow at the Stadttheater Bad Hall and returned as a guest artist to Musikalische Komödie Leipzig to perform the role of Alice in Leo Fall’s Die Dollarprinzessin.

Beyond my work on the opera and operetta stage, concert and recital performance form an essential part of my artistic identity. I have had the pleasure of collaborating with renowned orchestras including the Bergische Symphoniker, the Vienna Opera Ball Orchestra, and the Beethoven Philharmonie.

As a passionate interpreter of lieder and art song repertoire, I have appeared in recital at the Brucknerhaus Linz, at the Serenade Concerts of Lower Austria, and at the Bad Schallerbach Music Summer.

Born and raised in Austria, I discovered my passion for the performing arts at a very early age. Following my first acting and singing engagements at the Volkstheater Wien and the Burgtheater Wien, I pursued classical vocal studies at the Anton Bruckner Private University under the guidance of soprano Katerina Beranova. During my studies, I further refined my artistic and vocal development in masterclasses with Adrian Eröd, Ruxandra Donose, Michael Schade, and Sumi Jo.
